Fiber optic cabling is the future of data connectivity. It is the fastest and most reliable method of transferring data across a network. Unlike copper-based solutions there are no limits to the length of the cable. For companies spread across large spaces or connectivity in warehouses or office parks, fiber is the perfect solution.

There are many options when considering fiber: single vs multimode, different terminations and connectors (ST, SC, LC or MTRJ) are just a few. Many low voltage providers outsource the fiber portion of an installation, or contract others to do the actual fiber connections. Lone Star Cable installs the fiber and terminates the connections using our own personnel and equipment.

Our company has four members on staff that are Certified Fiber Optics Installers. Lone Star Cable uses a high tech fusing device that utilizes three microscopic cameras to ensure a perfect, fused connection. Some companies use mechanical terminations which cannot be visually inspected and incorporate gel in the connections which can cause problems. Fusing creates a strong and lasting connection which maximizes the blistering potential speed of fiber.
